Veteran John Alvarado spoke to our 7th and 8th Grade students yesterday about his service in the military. Mr. Alvarado spoke about why he joined the military, his tour in Iraq as the first wave of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his visit to Abraham's temple, and how the military has shaped his life.

Students had an opportunity try on his Army issued flak vest and sample the cuisine: a Meal Ready to Eat (MRE)!
